Hello everyone! It’s been awhile. I apologize for taking a long and unexpected break, but it was necessary for the state I was in at the time. I was in major grief denial, which as all things must, triggered a return of my anxiety and depression. I felt it necessary to take a step back from blogging and social media engagement, while I worked on myself, my relationship with God, and my marriage.
I’m still a work in progress, but we all are in a way. God is forming us and renewing us every day and as scripture says “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ,” (Phil 1:6, ESV).
There were times that I considered an early retirement from blogging, but I couldn’t shake the need to write. Ideas and inspiration found me and now that I am in a better place, I feel it’s time to bring those ideas to life again, but in a slightly different style, perspective, and direction.
I will aim to post three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I believe Sunday should be a day of rest and dedicated to the Lord, and Saturday is often the day my husband spend time together.
The topics I will cover will feature faith, growing in relationship with God, marriage, lifestyle and health, femininity, homemaking, and Biblical womanhood. These are themes that are very important to me and that I have prayed into. A few variant topics will come up from time to time, but otherwise fall into one or more of those categories. Friday will also be a ‘listicle’ type article, because to me they’re fun to read and essential to any lifestyle blog.
I still plan on eventually incorporating either audio or video content, once I determine which medium is best for me, be it YouTube or a podcast. My husband may also appear from time to time in one of these formats, he will also be my principal editor and scriptural fact checker.
Consider this a soft launch for the content to come, with an article here and there for the month of August, with a full relaunch in September with the regular schedule. This is mainly due to being away for most August with undetermined wifi access.
I hope that many of you will return each week and I look forward to the new family that may stumble upon our blog. Thank you for your support and I look forward to the days to come.
